Anyone who somehow got here, is probably wondering what exactly is Jammin! No, it's not the popular piece of Bob Marley, or a sports clothing brand or backpacks, or even most of the results that we find through the "big brother" google. "Jammin!" is the art of feeling good.
For some this is candidology, for others - Hakuna Matata, but the common between all of them is people's desire to be happy. And even to make others happy. "Jammin!" allows you to take small parts from each of these teachings, philosophies etc. However, it manages to accomplish it without forcing people to do "this and that", to follow some "sacred steps" or the need to place itself above other similar ideologies. This is not a collection of "1001 tips how to feel better". Perhaps it needs to be a more of a state of mind rather than a bunch of howtos. In short: if you get up in the morning and smile at the sun for "hello" - then you're a little more jammin! than those who miss it. Or you're jammin! at all in comparison with them. Maybe you don't call it this way, maybe it doesn't even have a name in your thoughts, but in it's base it stands for "a sincere smile" (as it was written somewhere).
If I must be honest, Jammin! has no precise definition. Since Jammin! is still a baby, it's explanation might be immature or confusing. For example: "Jammin! is something cool, which makes you feel good (if possible the others around you too), you do it, because it makes you feel good and it makes you feel good when you do it." This excludes damage to your surrounding etc .. A little in "pay it forward"-style - of course in it's own way.
Why "Jammin!"? Everything started from a misheard "Jah men!" from a cheerful rastaman. "Jah Men" became "jammin!" and then in the same time a greeting, a welcoming, and a goodbye - like a smiling Aloha! And once we figured out what "jam" means in English (for example: jamming with a guitar), little by little it turned into a definition of sunny, sweet, happy and all kinds of smiling people, objects, sounds and blah... blah ....
The idea for this site and the sticker came from a movie. And from a character who was shown for less than five minutes. He distributed stickers to the cool people he encountered and explained them to stick those pieces of paper here or there on their way when they traveled, so when someone else familiar with the idea sees a sticker, even at the other end of the world (for example), he could feel that he's not alone and could smile, even if in a bad mood at the moment. And so with the Jammin!-idea and the idea of the sticker appeared this site - on one hand explanation of the sticker, on the other ... actually let's just let ourselves to the flow of sunlight and do not forget to smile when we wake up in the morning :)
if we don't talk about some "celebrity" or other well-known "something" (usually there is a link to the appropriate homepage), all works published in jammin.gramophon.com or jammin.laringophon.com are under the following license:
